Writing happens everywhere in our room
In our classroom children have many opportunities to write throughout the day. We have lots of paper, markers, pencils and crayons that are available for children to use whenever they choose. The children write for a variety of purposes like making a sign, writing a note, signing up for sharing , and so on. As children experiment, developmental stages of writing become evident. Children move from random scribbling to controlled scribbles, to random letters, to consonants that represent words.
