The Importance of Sharing

In our classroom we set aside time at the end of the day so children have the opportunity to share. There are so many benefits to having children present what they have created and share a special accomplishment. Children are developing confidence when they are standing in front of their peers and sharing. They also inspire others to try something new when they share what they have done with the materials.  We are able to see their progress as writers when they are sounding out their sentences

 which indeed is purposeful writing.
