Painting With Our Hands

~ If I paint a wild horse, you might not see the horse... but surely you will see the wildness! ~
Pablo Picasso
Some children are drawn to creativity when they are able to touch and feel the materials.

In this way, they bring their imagination and senses together in a very unique way. Their learning, development, thinking and senses come together all at the same time.

These children play with a mixture of flour, water and food colour. It moves about the page differently than paint. It shapes their decisions as they create.
These children play with stamp painting.

Great blocks of colour in familiar shapes. Choices are made to mix colours, change shapes, make patterns...

Vocabulary is enriched with words like 'imprint', 'layer', 'mingle', 'slippery', 'stencil', 'movement' ... as they relate to art and creativity.

Think, feel, create... play!
