St. Clair Students Visit

Making community connections continues to reward the wonderful world of kindergarten.
Kathryn Markham-Petro brought a group of her Early Childhood Educator students to visit and see our program in action.
Our room was filled with playmates and learners of all ages!

The students joined in the play right away. They know that meeting the children in play is the best way to support the strongest learning connections.
Building relationships with the children is the most important start.
Playing with materials in the same way the children are playing with them let's them know how capable you believe they are!
Observing and listening to the children as they play tells us so much.
Even snack time can have playful, learning moments!
An educator knows how meaningful it is to enter into the child's play world.
Small groups offer significant learning moments.
Valuing their efforts builds the children's confidence.
Just like us, these grown up students share their passion and enthusiasm
for play and learning.

And this day we were so thankful they shared it with us!
