The Chicks have Arrived!

We have had some exciting moments over the last 2 weeks. The chicks pipped through their shells and we have 6 new additions to our Suzuki Family. The students were so excited to hear the chicks peep, then hatch, and now they are starting to grow feathers and take flight. The student have written the chicks some beautiful messages and brainstormed some fantastic names. The students are learning to care for the chicks. We weighed our chicks and recorded their growth. I wonder how much they will weigh next week? What other changes will we see?

The planting project

The children were counting all the potato bugs that were living in the pumpkin and decided they needed to build a habitat for them before we put them back in our gardens.
