Snow Tracks, Sleds and Sun

Today was the day!
Cold as cold could be, but that just couldn't keep us away from our first sledding day at the hill.
The tracks of a sled being dragged behind sets small footprints marked the journey up our Suzuki Hill.
The smiles and laughter told the story of the journey down.

Even Ms. Lecoq joined in the fun!
Finally giving in to the cold cold morning, we followed the long shadows back to a warm classroom.
Rosy cheeks, joyful chatter, satisfied thrill-seekers...
a great start to a wintry day!

Snow Much Fun!!!

The children were so excited to see the hill covered in snow, so of course we headed out right away to do some tobogganing before the sun melted all the snow away.

We Couldn't Wait to Get Outdoors!

See the return to our Suzuki hill,
Letting the children run at will,
Exploring the nature that abounds,
Every bit as fun as it sounds!

Friendships start at the reach of a hand,
Conversations happen in the sand,
Discovering fossils and a dinosaur track,
Oh what joy! The children are back!

From insects and creatures we learn so much,
Crickets, grasshoppers, frogs and such.
We share the world with all living things,
From critters that scurry to birds that sing.

Crawling through and looking over,
Bouquets made of purple clover,
Streams of colour flow through the air,
A mud kitchen serves up elegant fair.

Oh how we love the great outdoors,
Where we do away with walls and floors,
Our ceiling gives way to an endless sky,
And learning comes naturally as the day goes by.
