A Visit With Shawn in France

Once again, the wonderful world of technology brings us close to our friend Shawn as he experiences France with his family.  Shawn is showing us his Lego creation. The children have been making amazing Lego creations.  Not even the Atlantic Ocean can keep friends from creating with Lego together!  Playing with Lego offers so many opportunities to learn and share.

Shawn tells us of his many adventures.  On his blog, we've seen the snow sculpture of the Eiffel Tower.  Hmmmm.... Lego... sculpture... Eiffel Tower... are you thinking what we're thinking?!

An SK Student In France

We have an SK friend who is currently living in France. Many children remember this child from their JK year, so they were thrilled to have the opportunity this week to Skype with their friend Shawn using a webcam and our large Smartboard!

During our conversation we were able to learn about France and how living there is the same and different than our experience living in Canada.  Many children were inspired by their conversation and chose to draw pictures and write messages to be sent using the postal system later this week.

Some even decided to create a costume to send to Shawn from the dress shop! Wow! What a surprise that will be to arrive in France using the mail system!
We wonder if we'll be receiving any mail ourselves from France anytime soon. Stay tuned!
