Ojibway Park

We spent a great afternoon exploring Ojibway Park. They have a new visitor center and we loved taking a walk on the board walk to check out the pond.

Exploring nature at Suzuki

This past week we took Emily and Teegan to Suzuki to spend the afternoon exploring the area around our school. The girls had so much fun climbing on the equipment, going up and down the hill and their favourite of course, was looking for bugs. It was amazing how long they were able to play outside and enjoy exploring the outdoors.

The girls loved the opportunity to climb.

They started to dig in the mulch to see if they could find any bugs.

It was very interesting to investigate the roots of this weed.

Then it was off to the hill.

Where they discovered the sand pit.

The girls decided to write their names in the sand.

They found a caterpillar.

Emily started to draw what she was seeing on the hill.

They were really excited when they began investigating the front of the school.

The best part was opening them up and discovering the seeds inside them.

They were very interested in all the different sizes of rocks.

We had a wonderful discussion about what was at the top of this pole.

The girls even began to make music on the pole.

The bee captured their attention when it landed on this flower.

The girls ended the day with getting Mr.St.Onge full of seeds, thank goodness I was the one behind the camera.
