Writing Happens Everywhere

Question: "Yes, but when do they learn to read and write?"
Answer: "All day, every day, when they want to tell a message. When it matters most!"

When they make books.

When they write a silly poem to make someone laugh.

When they want to share their work with their friends.

When they want to say, 'Thank You!'
When they make a plan.

When they make a label.

When they create a game.
When they make a sign.

When they want to do the morning message.
When they feel proud of their accomplishments.

Which is pretty much all of the time.
Reading and writing happens all day, every day, in the wonderful world of kindergarten.

Our chicks have a new home

More Camping Moments

Camping at Suzuki gives our students a taste of the camping experience.
We put the tent up together, and made our campfire. The students sang songs
around the campfire and roasted delicious marshmallows to make smores.
We went on a nature hike to see and investigate the plants and bugs in our Suzuki
environment. We know some of our friends are looking forward to camping
experiences with family and friends this summer.

Mason and Jackson are working hard to put the polls together.

The fire was so hot!

    Look at these sleepy heads.

Heading out on a hike. Will we see any bears?
