TD GRANT GREENING PROJECT from beginning to end, some highlights

This was our space before our project began. Our outdoor classroom was muddy and offered little opportunity for investigation.

We began to dig with some help from our friends in grade 5.

It was cold, snowy, and rainy. The friends kept digging.
Then we started to shovel in the pea stone.

Jobin Rock Farm delivered and placed the rock. How amazing.
Finally it was time to put in the plants. The kindergarten friends, grade 5's and grade 8's did a great job planting yesterday. The weather cooperated and rained for us to water all of our plants.

Covering the soil with mulch today.
Our final touch was to add the rubber edging to the pea stone pit.
    Our outdoor classroom is complete.
We will celebrate the completion of our project with a pasta lunch this Thursday with all of our         community partners and Suzuki workers. Great Job Everyone!
