Pumpkin Time

Exploring pumpkins is always so much fun in the fall! On Halloween day the children were invited to help create Jack-o-lanterns with some help from an adult.

The pulp and pumpkin 'goop' was added to our usual playdough mixture and was such a wonderful sensory experience to play with and explore!

It was also interesting to put the pumpkin seeds and pulp on our light table for exploration.

Sticky, sticky, ooey, gooey fun!

The children also created their own recipes and 'pumpkin soup' by adding water and other ingredients to the pumpkin seeds and pulp in the kitchen!
