A mushroom update

Why did the mushroom get invited to all the parties?
Because he's a real fungi!

A real fun guy named Mr. Field's came and visited the wonderful world of kindergarten and brought something special. He brought mushrooms that you could pick and eat and grow.
Maia and her dad set right to work at the island, talking about all the types of mushrooms,
and mushroom names.
The children explored the mushrooms with magnifying glasses and our computer Zoomie.
Many of the children were very curious. There is a mushroom that is so big that it is kilometres wide
and would take all day to walk across it!
The underside of the mushroom looked just like a coral rock from the shell basket.
Things that make you go, 'Hmmmmm....'

There were many things to wonder about.

We can keep on growing the mushroom, and eat the mushroom,
but mostly we love to investigate the mushroom!
