What to do with the onions

I discovered these onions in my fruit cellar last week so I brought them to school to share with the children, I asked them what we should do with them and they came up with some creative responses.

They suggested that we plant some of them to see if we could make more, one child suggested that we plant two onions on our roof top garden so we did.

They also wanted to paint with the onions.

They wanted to experiment painting with other vegetables so we brought it a variety of vegetables for the children to paint with.
