Weaving with ribbon

We all have our own life to pursue,
Our own kind of dream to be weaving,
And we all have the power to make wishes come true,
As long as we keep believing.
~ Louisa May Alcott ~

A clear vision and determination began to weave through the open art studio.
The children were offered framed wire and ribbon.

An opportunity for open-ended creativity.
Process takes meaning over product.

Patterns of movement. In and out. In and out.
Over and under. Over and under.
Back and forth. Back and forth.

Busy fingers snip and weave.

Forms take shape and ideas emerge.
A garden flower.
A white ribbon cloud and blue ribbon sky.
Green ribbon waits to become grass.

Or a simple rainbow of colour explodes.

A new day and new ideas have taken root. Inspiration grows.

Plan, measure, cut, weave.

More and more friends join in the fun.

A gallery of the children's weaved frames is shared for all to enjoy!
