Inspiration Naturally

Nature provided our paintbrushes. The children become so creative when the materials are open for them to explore and experiment with. An open art studio invites children to experience the materials.

Painting the hydrangea and seeing how the stems connect and how delicate the flowers are.

Using pieces of the flowers, stems, leaves and seeds to a family portrait.
"My mom likes flowers!"

The leaf makes interesting prints.

The children tell us the elaborate stories of their pictures as each detail is added.

Figuring out if it's better to paint the petals or dip the flower in the water colour paints.

Recreating the colours of the natural materials that have inspired their art.

Mixing mediums of paint, glue and plants give the children many ways
to express themselves and their thinking.

Each and every day the children naturally inspire us in the wonderful world of kindergarten!
