Now That's Italian!

How delicious is the smell of fresh pasta? A group of our boys were so excited to be working in the kitchen to learn how to make fresh pasta.

"We make a nice little pile of flour with a pool in the middle for the eggs, just like Nonna Pizzuto". Nonna is Italian for 'Grandmother'.

The boys cracked the eggs.

And mixed the eggs into the flour. Pretty soon, they had pasta dough.
The more they worked with the dough the better the dough became to put into the pasta machine.

The best part for many of them was using the pasta machine. The boys were amazed when the flattened dough came out as fettuccine noodles when they ran it through the press.
Then a piece was changed on the press and they suddenly had spaghetti noodles!

Don't you love the look on Cameron's face when he sees his dough turning into the fettuccine noodles?!

This was a perfect activity for our Pasta Day! Mmmmmm......
